Forged Rings (referred to as “FR”) are the key forgings of aero-engines. FR made with rolling technology have the advantages of compact structure, high strength and good toughness, which cannot be replaced by casting or other manufacturing technology. The performance and quality of FR determine the service performance and service behavior of aviation key components to a great extent. The structure property of FR often directly decides the service life and reliability of aircrafts. Besides, the completeness, quality and precision of FR have significant impacts on the economic affordability of aircrafts and aero-engines. Therefore, the production quality and manufacturing technology of the special-shaped FR similar to the outer profile of the parts have a very important influence on reducing the cost of engine development and improving the capacity for engine development and production. FR such as compressor casing, turbine casing, bonding ring, mounting edge, sealing ring and annular flame cylinder of aero-engines are mainly made of expensive superalloys and titanium alloys.
