Yaw ring is a key component in the yaw system of wind turbine and is equivalent to a large sliding bearing. It is located at the bottom of nacelle, the lower end is fixed and connected with wind tower by bolt, the upper end is used to support the entire nacelle mechanism with the help of the sliding surface and its periphery is meshed with four yaw reducer output gears. The yaw motor drives the whole nacelle to rotate slowly, so as to adjust the direction of wind turbine impellers.
Yaw system has two main functions: one is to track the wind direction; the other is to disengage the cables automatically when they intertwine in the nacelle.
